yesterday something happened....

it is rare that dallas thinks of me when he's at work. their company rule is that personal calls need to be kept to a 5 min max. in the burnum house this translates to no more that 56.3 seconds.... so the fact that i got an email from him yesterday was extremely astonishing. i was extremely excited about this until i saw what it was....

i'm back in school to boost the 'ol GPA up a bit before i apply to big person school. thankfully i have a new study buddy. although william doesn't help much with class discussion he does offer wonderful moral supportwhile we are hard at work ezra gets to play. tonight he found a new toy

as you can't see from our dark picture, the ayes won and our basement is a beautiful "classic carmel" color. please note that carmel is in no way shape or form any sort of beige. those caught mentioning the "b" word will have to sit in the corner of the laundry room and listen to everyone else having fun in the CARMEL room

we picked out carpet tonight! it is called "wheatfield," which also has no resemblence to the "b" word.

i made dinner EVERY night this week (yes, shocker)

i started orientation for my new job. although this picture is hard to see, you are looking at a 1" stack of papers that we went thru this week. kind of info overloadalso, william got a new bag of cat food. it's cheaper to buy economy size. who wants to take bets on how long 18 lbs will last him?

now at our house when you use the restroom, william stealthily waits behind the curtain and gives ezra a little tap tap tap-ero when he walks by

ez is nice enough to play along and ignore william's immaturity

bowling... again

every night dallas and i play a couple games of bowling. monday he was extremely delighted with his score of 243 until i blew him out of the water tonight. look very closely and you see a shadow across his 10th frame and final score. VERY SNEAKY dallas--- way to cover that 118 up!

ez finds bowling not so exciting but still participates in family time

when we went to ulysses this year for Christmas, carol, dallas' mom, was chomping at the bit to get rid of a few of his things he conveniently left for storage in her closet

among the things we were so fortunate to re-adopt were some baseball cards, pilot log book and above all, the beloved letter jacket

i'm getting my stuff together for my first day of work tomorrow. i'm thinking it would be that perfect outfit accessory that will make a lasting first impression on most of the office

i've been sleeping a lot, thus less blogging
i've also forgot how to ride a bike, so if my mucus-infected lungs feel good enough and the weather is nice this weekend, i'm hoping to get out a bit

i guess in order to look better the room has to look worse.
dallas has everything ready to pull wire and my project (under supervision) has been the screen. here are my directions:

1) make the screen PERFECT.

i've been getting text messages all week reminding me that "screen paint comes on friday"

translates to: the screen better be ready by the time the paint comes so that it can go on ASAP otherwise if left alone for more than 1 hr in the box after arrival may cause it to explode. (as anyone with common sense knows....)

for those of you who don't know, we, or more like i caved in and got our house a wii for Christmas this year. this spurred the kick off of....

project entertainment room

current projects include:
joint compounding screen
painting special screen paint
installing speakers and wire
installing receiver

upcoming projects include:
carpeting room
painting room
purchasing couch and furniture

so far we are enjoying our wii on the 9' screen without soundother exciting news:
after sleeping for 14 hrs yesterday i can finally function in society
after 2 months without, we finally got a new microwave!!

i've been pretty sick lately and don't feel like taking cute pictures and adding captions to them. sorry

for the william lovers out there:
while we were gone he paced himself very nicely thru his 8lb bag of kitty food, even with a little to spare. we can't tell if he has his winter coat or is getting fatter. i'll post pic tomorrow

also, officially tonight, wii has declared me a pro bowler.
