Ugli

Tonight while shopping for groceries (which was depressing after looking at our cart full of college food items.....delicious and un-nutritious chips an queso, etc)...... I digress. Anyway, so while at the store there was this fruit called the ugli. I couldn't resist. How could I not try this gross looking thing?

Upon getting it home, I realized my face will probably look like this someday since I didn't wear sunscreen this weekend while working cows an got toasted. .......all wrinkly and gross.

On a good note, it tastes like a very expensive orange that is easy to peel.

Art show

We went to our 3rd annual high plains art show this year. Gretta got 1st in the 2d division.

This year was especially nice as we didn't have to stay in the ditch (from the flash blizzard) like we did last year.

Friendly reminder

Dear big o,
Thank you for your friendly reminder we found in our mailbox. I realize that it is important to be on top of your car's maintenance but to me this flyer actually reads:

Dear Dalllas (with 3 l's),
Your jeep cj 5, which has not ran on the road for nearly 14 years, has very nice tires but could use some scheduled maintenance. Our records indicate that the following be done: re-assemble engine by putting heads on and attaching all hoses, then trying to see if it starts up with no leaks from head gaskets; continue working on wiring breaks; continue talking wife into immediately purchasing roll cage, installing seat belts, getting new axels (and installing them), purchase and install new transfer case and put fuzzy dice on something since there is no rear view mirror. Oh yes- a windshield would be good too. All of these things can be done with our coupon of 10% off your scheduled maintenance.

Office party!

Our office went out for pedi/Mani night. It was definitely a good time had by all. :) (you might only get that if you live near my hometown)

I must say, I hate my job but love my coworkers.

A new level of pathetic

It used to be that we fed the dogs. Hen fritz realized that the dog food is pretty good. Now "hungry time" consists of placing 2 cups of food in each bowl and 5 pieces on the floor.

We went home this past weekend. Like always, it was great. D enjoyed getting pics of junk in the area (not necessarily from our farm) :)
