only the sweet stuff

this year i am making truffles for neighbor presents.
its more like, truffles for everyone.
(so you better like them!)
(truffle assembly line. i broke down and got a double boiler. it was worth the $15. i was tired of burning myself on boiling water)

i've made double batches of almost everything and the freezer is stocked. i can proudly say that we're on our LAST batch (coconut)!

between the truffles at thanksgiving and these Christmas truffles i've gone thru approximately...

2 bags nuts
2 bags coconuts
5 cans sweetened condensed milk
8lbs dipping chocolatethey're alot of work, but they might be better than making cookies....
just maybe!

ez has been fighting me for kitchen space.
he decided to make doggie treats for his friends this year.
so don't be offended if he gives you a bag,
he just wants to be your buddy.

i do apologize for the poor quality pic.
natural sunlight was nowhere to be found yesterday.
also, as by suggestion from an art friend, i'm going to give her some ladylike eyelashes.

i'm also thinking i need to invest in a trash can of some sorts...
unless whomever has my name for Christmas would like to invest in one fore me

today is my baby's birthday.
it's so hard to believe he's already 21.

he's 21 and still requires more attention than most human 3 year olds.

this weekend my beloved door is being auctioned off.

since i'm an artist, i figure i should probably dress up a bit.

yesterday i went shopping. my shoes were on sale.
so i got shoes AND shirt AND (cheap-o) necklace for what the shoes were originally going for.
of course i can find neither shoe or shirt on the net and my camera is not here.

just look for the blonde walking awkwardly in 4" heels.....
most likely falling flat on her face.

good thing i work in orthopedics....for when i break my ankles.

the other day i had a weak moment....
a very weak moment.

only because i CANNOT say no to cookies of any kind.
not eating, but making them.
and any magazine that has color on the front WITH cookies---
in my world it's a must have.

this year i'm working on truffles for Christmas.
there are over 20 truffles in the magazine. yahoo!

as of monday morning, i've put 340 miles on my car.
i hanv't got anywhere particularly awesome,
just around denver...
but, it did involve a trip to the airport to pick up my long lost best friend from college!

danielle and i havn't seen each other for 4.5 years.
since then, she has gone thru 4 years of med school,
i've hiked some mountains,
but in the end......
we started off exactly where we left off.

it was awesome!
hope she gets her surgeon residency in denver for the next 5 years.

william is the best painting buddy ever

i went home last night because today we got to work cows! yeah!
working cows is my favorite.
for the most part they are easy to work with
and never talk back.

for those of you interested,
thanksgiving meals are still walking around if you need one!
conversation when i got home tonight:
andi: hi.
dallas: wow! you smell like farm
(meaning....eeew you stink)
andi: we worked cows, what did you think i'd smell like?
dallas: it's not bad.
(meaning..... i'm grossed out by you).
it's just strong
(meaning.... i will need to roll my car window down on my 2 min ride to get a burrito)

he really tries to be nice.... but i can decipher his language

i can't complain about the recent week of winds.
